We have pretty much everything planned and ready to go for the big day. I booked a wonderful photographer, Amy Lashelle, she fits us perfectly and we are going to do some really fun things on the wedding day. She introduced me to an idea called The First Look. The whole purpose behind the First Look is to give the bride and groom an intimate moment to see each other for the first time with out the whole world watching them, except the photographer who is able to take great candid photos and really capture the moment 
The groom stands still and waits while the bride approaches him from behind, when they get about 4-5 feet away from each other the groom turns around and faces him lovely bride. Then the two have some time to let it all, as I think of it. A chance to let some of the nerves settle, relax and have some quality time together before the ceremony and all the people. I loved, loved, loved this idea! We haven’t chosen the spot for our First Look yet but we want it to be kind of rustic and cozy. I also plan on taking a bunch of photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen so we don’t have to take a lot of time away from our guests and partying at the wedding. I am going to a local bakery called Mrs. Backers for my cake. They make the most beautiful and delicious pastries and cakes. Me and my sister get our birthday cakes from there every year, it isn’t a birthday with out one! This is also one thing my mother insists on, an edible wedding cake. She down right refused to pay for a cake that she would not be able to enjoy (fondant frosting to be exact). But that is fine with me, Mrs. Backers is my first choice any day. We are hashing out a flower proposal and hope to get that wrapped up soon. The florist is Trifecta Floral and I can’t wait to see what kind of fun they create for us. The centerpieces are going to include some old bottles that we found lying around my house when I bought it The DJ we booked for the night is also going to be perfect. We met him a bridal show a few weeks ago and booked him on the spot. The service he works through, Complete Music, has great program to get people moving out on the dance floor and can even show us some fun line dances to get the party started. They also take care setting up microphones for the officiant and announcing the toast or whatever you need them to do.
The dress is ordered an on it’s way. I spent WAY too much but it was worth it. The designer is Ann Barge and you’ll just have to wait until after the wedding to see it. I can however show you the shoes I got for it, they are perfect!
My Wedding Boots
I sending out invitations this week and I have started a wedding website for the out of towners to get information about accomodations and such. I have yet to find an officiant for the ceremony, it’s going to be a hard decision but I know it will all work out in time. Things are coming together nice and stress free and I think it’s going to be a perfect day!

The theme was Mardi Gras/Toga/Aquarius, basically wear Mardi Gras colored togas and all the birthday people who are Aquarius got to wear special gold leaf laurels. A few of us decided on a whim to get our faces painted. I went with the zebra theme, because it reminded me of Rosie
